Our Story

The Orange City Food Pantry is a shared ministry supported by 15 partner churches as well as many local businesses and community members. We are united in our mission to provide food assistance to residents of Alton, Granville, Hospers, Maurice, and Orange City. Located at the American Reformed Church in Orange City, our pantry serves as a vital resource for those in need within our community.

At the heart of our ministry is a simple yet profound mission: to feed our neighbors out of obedience to God and love for others.

Bilingual Volunteers

Thanks to the support of local churches, we are fortunate to have dedicated volunteers who assist with our food drives on a regular basis. However, we are currently seeking bilingual volunteers to help with translation during our food drive events. Your language skills can make a significant impact in helping us better serve our community.

Our Impact

People Reached

There were a total of 818 visits to the pantry in 2025 up from 787 visits in 2024 and 600 visits in 2023.

Meeting this increased usage has been made possible by the generosity of our community, allowing us to continue the ministry of being the hands and feet of Jesus to those around us.

Repeat Visitors

We are seeing more repeat visitors with families visiting an average of 3 times in 2025.

In addition, over 77% of the families who visit the pantry have five or more family members.

God's Provision

We have repeatedly witnessed God's provision. Through generous monetary donations, food contributions, and willing volunteers, God has met the needs of our community, ensuring that no one goes without during times of hardship.
