QUESTIONS
Who can use the pantry?

The pantry is open to anyone who needs food assistance and lives in Alton, Granville, Hospers, Maurice, or Orange City, as well as anyone who attends a partner church.

What should guests expect on their first visit?

Guests register the first time they visit the pantry and receive a card to use for return visits. Following check-in, they will be guided through the pantry by a volunteer to shop for groceries 

When is the pantry open?

The pantry is open once a month.

Guests may visit one per month, either during drop-in hours or by appointment.

How do you sign up for an appointment?

Pantry guests may visit the website to sign up for an appointment.

What if someone is in a crisis situation and needs food immediately?

​If someone needs food immediately, please refer them to a social or government agency or an area partner church. They will work with them to complete a registration form and provide them with instructions on how and where to pick up groceries.

What kinds of food do guests receive each month?

Guests shop for their own food, including shelf-stable items, canned goods, toiletries, diapers, laundry detergent, and fresh produce.

What if someone is homebound?

If someone is homebound and unable to get to the food pantry, a deacon or elder from their church is welcome to come and shop for their groceries.
